The Dublin & Wicklow MRT and Glen of Imaal MRT were called to action to search for two missing youths who were believed to have become lost in the extensive surrounds of Djouce Mountain and the Powerscourt Estate, close to Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow.

The two had become separated from their group during a mountainbiking trip, and with dusk fast approaching, the groups leaders took action and made the call for Mountain Rescue to come to their assistance.

Whilst rescuers arrived on location to commence their search, the groups leaders managed to make contact with the missing pair and confirmed they were safe and in good form. The duo who weren't carrying their mobile phones during their outing had found their way to a main road and made their way home quickly.

The Mountain Rescue teams issued a stand down notice to their members, thereby bringing the operation to a quick close as heavy rain closed in for the night.
