Mountain Rescue Teams Respond to 2 Incidents [20-AUG-11]
In the first of two incidents on Saturday August 20, Mountain Rescue were put on standby by the HSE around 2pm to come to the aid of a mountain biker with a dislocated shoulder. The incident happened on a popular mountain biking area of Ballinastoe Wood in Co. Wicklow.
The HSE ambulance crew were able to deal with the casualty, thus a full team callout was not required.

Rock climber rescued following fall [13-AUG-11]
Today Sat 13th August at approx 1pm, a 28 year old rock climber fell whist attempting to ascend a route in Glendalough, above the Miner's village . Mountain Rescue Teams were alerted and sent assistance to the location.
The man was helped to a lower point where the Irish Coastguard helicopter could safely operate.

Mountain Biker rescued on Three Rock Mountain [10-AUG-11]
On Wednesday 10th August at 8pm a call for assistance went out to the Wicklow Mountain Rescue Teams. A mountain biker in her early 20's, was mountain biking with a group and fell while decending a rocky path on 3 Rock Mtn. sustaining head and arm injuries. The ambulance service was able to access the tracks and a paramedic was on scene quickly to provide medical aid. Mountain Rescue Teams followed and stretcher-carried the injured woman down to the forest road.

83 Year Old Woman Rescued from Tibradden Mountain [06-AUG-11]
On Saturday [06-AUG-11] at 13:40 hrs, The Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain rescue team responded to a call from the Gardaí to come to the aid of an injured hill walker.

Successful search by Mountain Rescue and Army for missing person in Glen of Imaal [25-JUL-11]
On Monday 25th July 2011 at 6.30pm, An Gardaí Síochána requested the assistance of the Mountain Rescue services in Co. Wicklow to find a missing local man. The Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team both attended and assisted the Gardaí and the Defence Forces in the search for the man in his 60's. Both the South Eastern Mountain Rescue Team and the Search & Rescue Dog Association were put on standby as well.

Mountain Rescue in Glenmalure, Co. Wicklow [20-JUL-11]
On Wed 20th July 2011, at approx 5pm an experienced hillwalker requested the assistance of Wicklow's Mountain Rescue service. Both Dublin & Wicklow MRT and the Glen of Imaal Red Cross MRT attended.
The lady in her 60's suffered a lower leg injury whilst descending into Glenmalure from Lugnaquillia via Art's Lough. Medical assistance was able to reach her quite quickly and once stabilised, she was airlifted by the Coastguard helicopter from the scene.

Two groups lost in Artillery impact zone near Lugnaquilla [17-JUL-11]
On Sunday 17th July 2011 at 3pm two walkers in their 30's requested assistance from Mountain Rescue. Both the Glen of Imaal Red Cross Mountain Rescue Team and Dublin & Wicklow Mountain Rescue Team responded and assisted.

Injured runner assisted on Brockagh Mt [08-JUN-11]
On the evening of 08-JUN-11 at 9pm a hill-runner was injured during an organised mountain run on Brockagh Mt, near Laragh, Co Wicklow. Mountain Rescue Teams were able to assist the man in his 30's from the hillside to an ambulance. The runner had injured his lower leg.

Lost walkers found in the Glen of Imaal [07-JUN-11]
On the evening of 07-JUN-11 at 9.45pm Mountain Rescue Teams in Wicklow received a call from An Garda Síochána that 4 adults had become lost descending Lugnaquillia and needed assistance.
Using latitude and longitude coordinates from the walkers smart-phones, rescue teams were quickly able to pinpoint and locate the uninjured party.

Injured man stretchered from Spinc in Glendalough [13-MAY-11]
On Friday May 13, a 65-year old man was stretchered from the Lugduff Spinc mountain trail. At about 12.30pm he sustained a lower leg injury and had to seek assistance to return to the valley. Both Mountan Rescue Teams in Wicklow attended the scene and helped in carrying the hillwalker approximately 2km down a very rough mountain trail.
